GMMC Hosts Fan-Led Review Event of Live and Electronic Music
Live music is at the heart of Greater Manchester’s cultural identity – and fans are shaping its future.
Greater Manchester Music Commission were proud to close last year by hosting Greater Manchester’s Fan-Led Review of Live and Electronic Music event, part of a national initiative launched by the Culture, Media and Sport Committee. Held at the iconic Albert Hall, the session brought together fans from across our city-region to share their experiences of live music in Greater Manchester.
Moderated by members of the Greater Manchester Music Commission, the discussion captured valuable insights that will help inform future policy locally and shape the future of live music across the UK.
Building on this momentum, the Fan-Led Review follows the Music Fans Voice Survey, which went live earlier in 2025 to gather fans’ opinions on live music in the UK from transport to accessibility.
Together, these initiatives put fans and audiences at the centre of shaping the UK’s live music landscape.
