Greater Manchester Artists to Take the Stage at Amsterdam Dance Event 2025
Greater Manchester is set to make its mark on the international electronic music scene, with two of the region’s rising stars heading to Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2025.
Salford-born Ghoulish and Bolton-based SHADEV have been chosen to represent the region as part of a fully funded programme led by the Greater Manchester Music Export Office.
The pair will perform at an official ADE showcase at DB55 in Amsterdam on 22nd October with tickets available here. In addition, they will speak on a panel discussion entitled ‘The Manchester Sound - The Hacienda was then, but what is now?’ which will explore the contemporary sound of Greater Manchester’s underground dance scene.
Both artists will be supported to take part in a wraparound support programme, and connect with global industry leaders, giving them the chance to grow their audiences and expand their international reach.
ADE draws thousands of music professionals, artists, and fans to the Dutch capital every year, serving as a launchpad for careers and collaborations worldwide. For Greater Manchester, this is an opportunity to spotlight its reputation as a powerhouse for cutting-edge music.
Meet the Artists
Shauna Devlin, better known as SHADEV, is quickly making a name for herself as a versatile and multi-genre DJ. Her journey into DJing was inspired by her love for UK Garage, grime, and bumpy house, which shaped her into a tastemaker with a distinctive and diverse sound.
“I’m so unbelievably excited for the opportunity to represent Greater Manchester at ADE this year. I’m especially proud to be there representing my roots and where I'm from as opportunities like this do not come around often, it really feels like a glass ceiling breakthrough and I'm here for it. Buzzing to showcase what the north has to offer on an internationally renowned stage.”
Ghoulish is a rising force in the UK club scene, known for his genre-defying productions and electrifying DJ sets. Bursting onto the scene in 2021, he quickly gained support from industry heavyweights including Skream, Seth Troxler, and Mella Dee. Named one of UKF and Mixmag’s “Ones to Watch,” with his track Hold Tight featured among Mixmag’s best of 2022, Ghoulish blends euphoric dance, house, dubstep, and grime into a sound he proudly calls “genreless.” Hailing from Salford, his innovative style and dynamic performances continue to captivate audiences and push boundaries.
“As a born and raised Mancunian I am incredibly excited to be given the opportunity to represent my hometown on the international stage at ADE and show the world what Manchester has to offer, I will be packing my bags filled with tracks that define the Manchester nightlife scene and maybe a few (a lot) of my own unreleased weaponry!”
The programme is funded by the GMCA Culture, Creative Industries, Music, and Night-Time Economy Team and is part of a wider push to connect Greater Manchester’s music talent with global markets.
The newly launched Greater Manchester Music Export Office – the UK’s first – will continue to champion local artists, build international partnerships, and create opportunities at major events such as, ADE, The Great Escape, Focus Wales & SXSW'.
With UK music exports reaching £4.6 billion in 2023, Greater Manchester is determined to play an even bigger role in shaping the future of the industry.
